Parish Arboriculture

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

Parish Arboriculture ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for any personal information you provide through this website. We're committed to being transparent about what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. This policy explains your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you complete our quote form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your answers to the quote-form questions (type of tree work, property type, ownership, and timing)
  • Basic technical information such as the landing page URL and, where applicable, an advertising click identifier (e.g. Facebook's fbclid) so we can attribute enquiries to the ad you clicked

Why we collect it

We use your information to contact you about the enquiry you've sent, provide a free no-pressure quote, arrange and carry out tree work where you accept that quote, and measure how well our advertising performs so we can keep our marketing relevant and cost-effective.

Lawful basis

We rely on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

  • Consent — when you submit the quote form, you are consenting to us contacting you about your enquiry.
  • Legitimate interest — for measuring and improving our advertising and for keeping records of work quoted and carried out.
  • Contract — where you go on to book work with us, we process your details to deliver that work.

Where your data is stored and who we share it with

Your details are stored in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, which we use to manage enquiries and quotes. Access is limited to Parish Arboriculture staff who need it to do their job.

We may also share hashed contact details (your email and phone number, transformed into an irreversible code) and event information (such as "submitted a quote request") with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook and Instagram) via Meta's Conversions API. This is used purely to measure the performance of our advertising and to help Meta show our ads to people most likely to need our services. We do not share your name, plaintext email, plaintext phone number, or your message with Meta. We do not run a Meta Pixel on this website.

We will never sell your data, and we won't share it with any other third party for marketing.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and quote records for up to 3 years from your last contact with us, so we can answer follow-up questions and meet our record-keeping obligations. Where you become a customer, we keep records of completed work for up to 7 years to comply with UK accounting and tax requirements. After that, your data is securely deleted.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to how we use your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

Contact us about your data

To make any of the requests above, or if you have a question about how we handle your data, please email us at info@parisharb.co.uk. We aim to respond to all data requests within 30 days.
